Yu Xiang Hot Pot Chinatown

Hey all its Priy Priy again! It was hot pot night yay! I’m so excited about this review, now how many of you have tried a hot pot? If you haven’t, you have to try this place, and if you have but its normally at home this place is heaps easier and better! So a couple of friends and I went to Yu Xiang Hot Pot in Chinatown. So we each got our own little hot pots, adorable. We had to select the dishes we would like before being seated so as soon as we got to the table it was all ready very quickly however the line to wait is a tad long since the place is quiet popular.

We had fish balls, lamb slices, meat balls, noodles, tofu and some vegetables, it was all so good. My friend ordered a spicy soup base and half of it was filled with chili oil so we had to help her out and remove some so she could get to the actual soup. There were also some sauces you could get from this little station of sauce they had set up in the restaurant, so perhaps if you want spicy you should probably grab a spicy sauce instead. Hotpot is basically where you have a boiling soup and you continue to add food to be cooked in it (usually quickly, aside from the fish balls which take a little longer of course).

The place was well presented and neat, also we got our own little heat plate each which I just loved. We finished the meal at $40 per person, although it was expensive and overpriced the quality and experience of the food made that somewhat worth it. Overall was a great experience and would love to go there again and try more dishes, as their menu is quiet large.
My final rating for this restaurant below:

Ambience 4/5 Taste: 4.5/5 Price: 3/5, Total: 11.5/15
